According to estimates by Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Union, during the month of October industrial production prices increased by 0,4% in the euro area and by 0,3% in the EU, compared to September. On the other hand, industrial production prices decreased by 2% both in the euro area and in the European Union, compared to 2019.
In the euro zone prices increased by 1,4% in the energy sector and by 0,1% for intermediate goods, capital goods and non-durable consumer goods, while prices for durable consumer goods are steady.
In the EU prices increased by 0,8% in the energy sector, by 0,2% for intermediate goods, capital goods and non-durable consumer goods, while prices for durable consumer goods are steady.
The largest increases in industrial production prices were recorder in Belgium (+3,7%), Ireland (+2,1%) and Croatia (+1,1%), while the biggest decreasions were observed in Denmark (-2,4%), Cyprus (-0,5%), Spain and Latvia (-0,4%).
