Description
Among the hardening and tempering special steels, C40E and C40R are the most commonly used steels in Italy, and used to produce a vast range of mechanical components: axles, shafts, gears, pins, flanges etc. They are normally supplied as rolled bars and forged bars, though it is not uncommon to find these special steels supplied as drawn bars and peeled bars.
