The statistics published by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) show a clear drop concerning the wide rod and, even if less marked, reinforced concrete round’s export, between January and September of this year.
According to TUIK, in September the Turkey exported about 105.000 tons of wide rod steel, decreased by 11% than the previous month and by 29,7% than September 2019. Export value was about 47,4 million dollars, down 11,4% on a monthly basis and 36,4% on a yearly basis.
In the first nine months of 2020, Turkey export 93 million tons approx, dropped by 37% compared to the same period in 2019. Export value was about 415,3 million dollars, decreased by 44,3% on a yearly basis.
Among the Country destinations, Israel has been the most important with 231.000 tons, succeeded by Haiti (100.600 tons approx), Morocco (68.300 tons approx) and Netherland (60.000 tons approx).
Concerning round goods, Turkey exported about 478.000 tons in September, increased by 44,6% than the previous month and dropped by 8,6% in comparison with September 2019.
During the first nine months of this year, the export of round material in Turkey stands out a drop of 6% on a yearly basis with about 3,9 million tons: the primary destination was Yemen with 697.000 tons approx, grown up by 8,58% on a yearly basis.
